“Stories heal hearts and change mindsets”
A North Production is proud to partner with Empower Women Media and offer a short film training course starting March 13 – 27, 2021. The course will teach women how to produce a short film using industry scripting techniques, simple camera tools, basics of editing, audio and export of a film. The one-hour training will meet for three weeks using Zoom online meeting portal. The course fee is $40, which includes a certificate of completion and entry into the Empower Women Media film competition. In class sessions convene every Saturday for one hour at 9:30am IST, March 13-27. Please check email for additional material.
The course will be taught by Sharon Angel, M.F.A and facilitated by Shirin Taber, Executive Director of Empower Women Media and the 2021 Film Competition. Together, their mission is to equip women around the world with media tools to tell stories of Religious Freedom and Peace Building regardless of technical barriers, age or culture. Learn from the experts the makings of a short film and have the world see your story.
The film training course requires completing a 60-minute ecourse beforehand. “Live What You Believe” is an interactive ecourse to equip influencers to support inclusion, diversity and freedom of belief. Participants who complete the ecourse and submit an evaluation at the end, will be eligible to participate in the three week short film training course.
The winning films will screen before world-class business, NGO and faith leaders of the Global Business & Peace Awards in Tokyo. The grand prize winner will receive a cash prize and a trip to present her work at the awards (if travel regulations permit).
